Default [Skin] Terran Thunderhawk

Hey guys,

I decided to learn a bit about SC2 modding and started with something simple: A reskin.
Later I will copy and adapt the model to use the skin, so you can use both models in one map.
It is neither finished, nor is it something special... mostly recolors, some change to emblems and other minor details. Just thought some people might find this interesting.

When it came to frying Zerg units, the Firebat was always the weapon of coice.
But the Tal'darim started getting meaner and meaner - Jimmy can't even borrow some Terrazine or cool relics from them!
So Stetman and Swann worked a bit and out came...
The Thunderhawk!
Firing with pure electrical energy, the Thunderhawk not only damages enemy units, but deals bonus damage to psionic units, reduces their shields quicker than other units and even drains a bit of their energy with every attack. Let the Tal'darim despair in their fight against this newest invention of Terran engineering!

[at least that's what I'll try to do in the editor. Did not create a single ability/custom unit yet, this whole project is for personal training]

As I said, the skin is not yet completed (there are still some parts more fitting for fiery attacks). Still, I'd be glad about any constructive criticism.

Is that just the diffusion texture? It doesn't seem like it has normal or specular textures, and an emissive texture would help the energy-conduit looking part of the "Tesla gun".

It has an emissive texture, looks better ingame than in the editor.

Edit: Uploading ingame screenshot in the main post. Also got some smaller improvements.
And it has neither specular nor normal textures (gonna work on normals, but afaik the firebat does not have speculars by itself.)

It does look much better in game.

A specular texture may not be necessary, but it might be worth experimenting to see if it can add anything to the aesthetic.

Yeah, it would have great potential.
I'll need to experiment with modeling for it though, currently I am simply overriding the Firebat texture and since the Firebat does not have an own specular map I don't think just importing one will have any effect (or are they just applied with default wrapping? That would be useful, but it's very unlikely).

Working on the portrait currently. Found this for the lulz (gets funny after line 4):

And no, I can't give you a bigger version. It is this small.
