Default Can lighting be controlled?

Hey modders,

I figured this might go in Terraining since there were no posts here yet, and the "General" tab is getting a lot of attention. We might even want to break off a separate section for "ambiance" effects such as weather, fog, and lighting.

In any case, I'm hoping that the editor will allow us to control the level of light on the field, even where our units are currently standing. Ideally, I'd like to have some situations where its virtually "lights out" and you can only see shapes vaguely through the darkness unless you use flares or other means of illuminating the terrain. Does anyone know if this is feasible?

Thanks,
Capt. Picard

Different melee maps already have different levels of lightning, so that is not a problem. Then, I'm sure you can add point light sources onto the map, either units or doodads with a model that contains a light source.

Thanks, 2-P and Anitarf. I may not always respond to all your helpful answers, but please be assured that I am reading and learning.
